Green IO Paris 2026: Two Languages, One Mission

Green IO Paris 2026 closes Green IO’s 2026 world tour on 2–3 December at CNIT Forest, La Défense — the largest edition of the year, expecting 1,000+ responsible technologists from across Europe and beyond.

After Singapore, New York, Amsterdam, Munich, and London, Paris is where the year’s threads converge: which GreenOps practices travel across borders, which tools deserve adoption, and when European actors should collaborate versus stay locally agile.

What’s new in 2026

The headline change is scale and language. Green IO Paris doubles its format with two parallel tracks:

  • An English-speaking track — continuing the international practitioner community built since the first Paris editions
  • A French-speaking track — bringing the entire French digital sustainability ecosystem into the room for the first time at this scale

Two languages, one mission: leverage green IT initiatives across Europe in the face of generative AI acceleration, policy uncertainty, and consolidating tech power.

Why Paris remains the European anchor

European actors in IT sustainability face headwinds — but initiatives are blossoming across the continent. Green IO Paris asks the questions that matter for anyone blending sustainability and IT in Europe:

  • Which GreenOps practices should organisations replicate?
  • Which tools and frameworks — from green software standards to low-carbon cloud certifications — are ready for adoption?
  • How should responsible AI be measured and governed as environmental footprint becomes a board-level concern?
  • When should teams join forces across borders, and when does local agility win?

The conference blends expertises that rarely share a programme: responsible AI, green software, sustainable design, green cloud, low-carbon networks, and sustainable hardware — with perspectives from practitioners, vendors, academics, and NGOs.

Building on Paris 2025

Our Green IO Paris 2025 coverage captured last year’s three-day format: workshops on cloud emissions optimisation, LLM footprint measurement, and carbon.txt transparency; main-stage talks from the Green Web Foundation, CNCF Sustainability, and Green Software Foundation; and the Sustainable Digital Challenge finals.

The 2026 edition is leaner in duration (two days) but broader in reach — reflecting Green IO’s bet that the European community is ready for a more inclusive, bilingual capstone.

Green IO Paris 2026 is the European capstone of a six-city 2026 tour. For anyone working on green software, responsible AI, or GreenOps at scale, it remains the continent’s most concentrated meeting point for responsible technologists.
